MayaVi Screenshots
This page contains a few screenshots made entirely using MayaVi.
They demonstrate some of the capabilities of MayaVi and also show the
user interface provided. Each screenshot shows the GUI controls for a
particular visualization module. Most of the screenshots have been
based on the standard VTK examples and use the data provided at the VTK download
page or in the VTK CD. Click on the thumbnails to get a full
1024x768 screenshot.

A cut plane showing a density colour map. A
computational grid plane is also shown. The data file used is
one of the standard VTK data files and is CFD data from a
combustion chamber. |
Several iso-surfaces of density with varying
opacity. The data file used is one of the standard VTK data
files and is CFD data from a combustion
chamber. |

This shows streamlines for the flow past a
cylindrical post on a flat surface. The colouring is based on
the velocity magnitude. Also shown is a grid plane at the
bottom coloured as per velocity magnitude. The data file used
is one of the standard VTK data files and is CFD data courtesy
NASA. |
This also shows streamlines for the flow past a
cylindrical post on a flat surface. The colouring is based on
the velocity magnitude. Also shown are a few grid planes,
some coloured as per the velocity magnitude and some showing
the actual computational grid. The data file used is one of
the standard VTK data files and is CFD data courtesy
NASA. |

Flow of air inside an office. Shown are
streamlines originating from the door and coloured as per the
pressure data. The datafile is a structured grid and is part
of the standard VTK data. |
Flow of air inside an office. Shown is a single
streamtube originating from the door and coloured as per the
pressure data. The datafile is a structured grid and is part
of the standard VTK data. |

Shown are velocity vectors on two cut planes for
unstructured grid data. The arrows are coloured as per scalar
data (temperature) and scaled as per velocity magnitude. The
room seen is actually an imported VRML2 file. The data is
courtesy Dr. P. A. Rubini (Cranfield
University). |
This shows various scalar visualization modules
being used simultaneously for CT scan data of a heart. Data

The wireframe mesh is an iso-surface contour. The data is
taken from the standard VTK data files. |
Thresholded vector plot with cones scaled as per
velocity vectors. The colouring is as per vector magnitude.
